Riding along...

Always angling for a little more daddy-daughter time, Gillian Grace surprised Bret with a carrier for his bike for Father's Day. Needless to say it didn't take long before the carrier saw its first bit of action, with the twosome's first bike ride just a few days later. Sweet Bean was good as gold, watching her daddy put the thingamabobs on the whatchamacallits and always doing her best to help out, handing him tools whenever she could until the carrier was finally "good to go!"

As the pair rode off into the sunset (no seriously, it was evening), I must admit that my stomach churned with pangs of worry. But, worry was soon replaced with laughter as I heard GG's little voice echo her daddy's with a "Relax, Momma!" No doubt that won't be the last time I hear that statement---from either of them!

Sweet Bean just can't get enough of outdoor living, choosing the heat over the comfort of air conditioning any chance she gets!

And though I have become quite accustomed to sweating (anything for my girl), I'm always looking for ways and gadgets that will keep Gillian Grace entertained while helping to pass the time on those long sweltering afternoons!

Thank goodness for Toys R' Us!
