Every class always begins the same way, with the welcome song, "It's our time!"
But as another semester draws to a close, our time with Mrs. G is coming to an end. And with only one class remaining, it's hard not to think back to our first lesson---a trying experience for both Sweet Bean and me, to say the least. Wide-eyed and scared, it took more than a few lessons before GG adjusted to the unfamiliar environment and begin to enjoy herself.
Fast-forward nearly ten months later and it's difficult to find any similarities to the child that now walks through the Kindermusik doors each and every week. Excited and beyond eager, Gillian Grace cannot wait to get inside and begin class, immediately investigating and playing with the instruments of the day as soon as we walk inside. But it's not just me, the ever doting mom, that is overjoyed with the progress that Sweet Bean has made in just a little shy of a year's time. Mrs. G, after class one morning, patted me on the back and squeezed GG's hand saying, "I'm so proud of how far you've come! You're such a big girl!"
And, as much as it pains me to agree, Gillian Grace IS quickly becoming a "big girl," continually surprising us with just how quickly she absorbs knowledge, and has learned to adjust to all those little uncertainties that come along life's journey.
We couldn't be more proud of our Sweet Bean, but then again, what's new?!
Ready to go---GG can't wait to get out the door!
